Our why

Slow down. Enjoy the small things.

HERowe Books was born from a mother’s love — and from a lesson learned in the hardest way. After losing her son Aaron in 2025, HERowe felt what every parent is told but few truly believe until it is too late: the days are long, but the years are short. The bedtime stories, the silly songs, the ordinary Tuesday afternoons — those are the moments that become a life.

Children are small and still learning. Let them make mistakes. Ask them how they might do better next time. Praise them for trying. Our books are invitations to slow down, linger a little longer, and remember that parenting is not a performance — it is a loving, learning, growing thing we do together, one small moment at a time.

Life is exhausting. Work, bills, and keeping a house can leave little energy for what matters most. But a clean house is not what we carry with us when our children grow, or when one of us leaves this world. The only thing we truly keep is our memories — and that makes them the most valuable thing we will ever have.

“We all need to slow down and just enjoy the small things. I don’t need things — I just need peace.” — Aaron
